Abstract
This essay presents an analysis of two symphonies (First and Second) by Bakir Bayakhunov, in each of which the composer individually pretended to be Dungan national material. The author notes the historical position of the works in the Kazakh art music, reveals the content and the concept of the compositions., Special attention is paid to the melodic and rhythmic organization of the musical material, the intonation connections between the sections, the logical transformation of images, which influenced the orchestral composition of each of the analyzed symphonies. The novelty of the research lies in the continuation of the study of the music of the Kazakh composer school through the theoretical and historical provisions of musicology. As a result, the author denotes a high degree of the national style of Bakir Bayakhunov's symphonies and his unique approach to working with Dungan folk tunes.
